Join the Burbank Park District for its annual Frosty 5K Run/1 Mile Walk. Long-sleeved T-Shirts will be given to all participants. Awards will be presented to overall winners and 1st/2nd place winners in each category. An assortment of refreshments will be available after the race.

 

 

Where: Newcastle Park Rec. Center
When: Saturday, January 14, 2012
Time: 9:00 a.m. Start
Fee: Walkers – $15.00
        Runners – $20.00 by 1/7, $25.00 after 1/7

The Burbank Park District has been awarded a $2.475 million State of Illinois PARC grant to help pay for the construction of a building addition to the Stevenson Park Recreation Center.  A fitness center and gymnasium are just a few of the new amenties slated for this project.  The Park and Recreational Construction (PARC) Grant Program recently announced over $50 million in targeted investments for improvements to park and recreation facilities in Illinois.
