Hello,
I wanted to contact someone to ask about advertising with your park district? I wanted to know if there is any information or maybe how we could go about possibily advertising in your program add? We are a Cosmetology School looking to expand our advertising.
Please email me back or call if you have any information on this.
Thanks

Dear Colleague:
In order to better meet the needs of recreation and parks practitioners, the Office of Recreation and Park Resources (ORPR) at the University of Illinois is conducting a survey to learn more about the offerings and opportunities available across the state.
We are completing the data collection that we began while under contract with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), Division of Planning and Division of Grant Administration. Our goal is to create a comprehensive database that we can share with agencies, practitioners and park districts.
In this survey, we are asking for information that was not included in the 2008 IDNR Facilities and Park Lands Inventory in the hope that we can include more cities and districts to better reflect the diverse offerings of Illinois’ parks and recreation facilities. We are also interested in identifying cities and park districts that provide “natural” areas. For the purpose of this study, “natural areas” are defined as those which are set aside for the preservation and/or restoration of habitat, species biodiversity and public health (Barry, 1976). We are also interested in those areas that are set aside for appreciation of native plants and wildlife.
We would greatly appreciate you taking the time to fill out the enclosed survey or to complete it online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IDNRsurvey. It is our goal to collect this information from as many agencies, cities and districts as possible, so that we may begin to share comprehensive information that may benefit us all.
If you have questions, it would be my pleasure to answer them.
Thank you for your time and cooperation.
With thanks,
Jeremy Robinett

The new basketball rims around the city are amazing. I play basketball frequently at Harr park, and as of recently the nets have taken a beating. One of the rims doesn’t have a net. The other rim has a net fixed with zip ties. The north rim is set about 6 inches too high. Is there any chance we can get some new nets and possibly set the north rim to 10 feet?
Thank You
Forrest
Thank you for the information. We will notify our maintenance dept.
Thanks a lot Burbank, the new nets are great!

To Whom It May Concern,
I was wondering if Palos Hills Park District would be willing to rent out or donate space for a nonprofit dance auditions and rehearsals. I am looking for a gym or dance studio where I can hold auditions and rehearse for a upcoming performance.
I currently choreograph for Conrady Jr. High, A.A. Stagg High School, Oak Lawn High School, Bearette Poms, and Freespace Dance. I have been chosen to choreograph for Color Jam, which is where different companies and choreographers are being showcased. The performance will be IN the intersection of State street and Adams downtown! They close down the street to have this performance.
Please let me know if you have a space we might be able to rent at a low cost or any information as to where I might be able to find one. Thank you for taking to the time to read this and hope to be talking with you soon.
Sincerely,
Jeff Orluck

I need to complete 10 hours of volunteer time. I was wondering if there were any opportunities in the area that I could do and receive a letter stating that I donated my time?
Thank you
Please e-mail Scott at spiwowarczyk@burbankparkdistrict.org. Thank you.
I had left a comment about two weeks ago abouts pets in the park (in the brochure section of this site) regarding possibly have a designated site for the owners with pets to come together year round or revising the stance of pets in the park. I didn’t see the comment posted or a response. Just wondering if its being considered. I know you have been renovating parks and wantd to know if a fenced in area is being considered for pets since they are not allowed in the parks otherwise. Hopefully it can be added to the renovation starting this spring of Fitzgerald Park or any other location. Once again, i believe there is lots of pet owners within the district that would appreciate this place since pets are part of the family or a revision of the current rules allowing pets in the park within the district…. Thank you
There have been numerous talks of developing a dog park. We have had conceptual designs brought to our Board of Commissioners, but was never approved. With the new construction of our 37,000 sq. ft. Community Center, funding will be scarce for upcoming years. I will bring it to the Board’s attention and see what their thoughts are. In the meantime, we do offer dog classes and we do an annual petnic in the fall to bring dog lovers together. Thank you for your time and inquiry. Burbank Park District.

I wanted to introduce myself and my company. Chemsol is a Michigan-based chemical solutions provider, we normally sell to the defense and aerospace industries, but we have a few products I think you might be interested in.
First, we sell a line of non-slip safety paints. These paints come in a variety of colors and textures, can be used over nearly any surface, are easy to apply, and product a very durable non-slip surface. We offer grades for barefoot traffic (near pools) and more course grades for any application.
Also, we provide torque-seal inspection markings for bolts. These markings ensure that bolts have not moved; we sell huge amounts of this product and thus have prices among the lowest in the industry.
Please let me know if you have any interest in these products, I would be happy to send you more information or answer any questions you might have.
Not at this time. Thank you.

Thank You,

Was at a senior baseball league game and disappointed on how filthy the surroundings and Dugouts were. Park needs maintenance. Not a park I would feel safe boinging my kids to watch their father play.
The maintenance department will be working on the fields this week. Thank you.
Just a comment/recommendation. Being a Burbank Resident I would like my children to participate in the Programs offered. Unfortunatleythe only program offered we can particpate in is summer camp. Burbank needs to consider making accomadations for the WORKING Parents (IE/Taxpayers) and offer programs for all age groups after 5:30 pm. Any program offered after this time is for 2nd grade and above. If you not able to expand the hours maybe consider making exceptions to your age requirements. Oaklawn does.. As a resident here I am forced to travel to 116th and Cicero to particpate in Dance because Burbank does not make the concession or offer the programs which would allow working parents to have their children participate in Park District programs- just a thought…
Please let us know the age of your child and what classes you would be interested in having her sing up for. Thank you.
Hello,
I am trying to coordinate a company softball game and was inquiring about using a field at the Newcastle location. I have played mens 16″ at the Newcastle locations and thought it would be a great place for us. How would I go about doing this? Would we need a permit? I do realize that the 16″ leagues are starting very shortly. This would be for the 24th of May. If you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!
Thank you,
Tony
